LEGO Great Ball Contraption - Geneva Turntable - a LEGO GBC module from Jean-Marc Dutraz

Geneva Turntable

Geneva Turntable is a nice compact GBC module from the Canadian builder Jean-Marc Detraz. This module is constituted of two main parts: a ball pump, right after the entry ramp, which is elevating your favorite basket and soccer GBC balls to a straight line-ramp, and a big wheel with four buckets to bring the GBC balls to the exit ramp. The rotation from the big wheel are triggered by a Geneva Drive mechanism, giving the name to the module and allowing rotations of 90 degrees and pauses alternatively. The buckets are stopping right underneath the straight ramp, in the perfect timing for the balls to fall into the them. A set of cool motors is decorated this yellow module.
