LEGO GBC - OLDHAM COUPLING - Riku Katsumata - Great Ball Contraption

Oldham Coupling

The crazy movements from the Oldham Coupling LEGO Great Ball Contraption module from Riku Katsumata will most likely give you some dizzy feelings. The module is based on a mechanical principle, invented by John Oldham in the 19th century, used to transfer torque between axles that don’t exactly line up.The rotating arm from this incredible LEGO GBC module grabs your favorite GBC balls one by one and make them turn. A clever push mechanism made with a decentralized arm sliding within the first rotating arm ejects our dear LEGO balls to the exit ramp. The move in slow motion of this module is simply amazing. A must-watch compact masterpiece!
