I’ve just finished this. I used 3.2 mm line trimmer hose. Works really well. I had to add in a couple of extra supports to keep the 2 rails the correct distance apart.
What are the rails in the Marble Run made from. I don’t see them in the instructions.

it seems that the rails are not genuine Lego parts. you can read BlackBird post on EuroBricks forum, accessible via the hyperlink “(Additional Inputs from BlackBird)” above. He says he has used 11 meters of (non-Lego) rigid tubing he found on the McMaster-Carr website (ordered at the following URL: http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/122/140/=10ycofo).
