LEGO GBC Train 90 degrees corner module is the latest creation from Douglas Ridgway, alias Doug72. This LEGO Great Ball Contraption is intended to lift GBC balls in order to load a bucket located onto a train car. The module is driven by the train car and does not need a reverser to raise & lower the ball lift carriage. As the lift reaches the upper point, balls are released to roll down into the train car hopper. As lift reaches lowest point it activates a trip bar that tilts the lower section to release 15 balls onto the lift carriage, while at same time holding back any ball balls in the upper section. The complexity of this mechanism required many attempts and several days to get the correct gear ratios required for synchronisation. Therefore, time for a stop at the viewing booth if you are a LEGO GBC train fan!
