Make some space for a massive Great Ball Contraption module, full of details and relatively intense to build: the Steampunk Marble Run from JMBricklayer. This ready-to-build set, made with LEGO-compatible bricks and proposed as part of their ongoing Kickstarter campaign, combines steampunk and dinosaur universes elements, creating an eye-catching and intricate design. The massive build features nearly 5400 pieces, including numerous rollercoaster-like ramps, an Archimedes screw lifting mechanism, an elevator, and various other animated parts. Powered by two LEGO PowerFunctions-compatible motors, the machine offers a continuous motion of GBC balls on diverse tracks, making for a mesmerizing display. Despite the high complexity of the build, which takes approximately 15 hours, the packaging and the building instructions are of excellent quality, ensuring a smooth assembly process. The detailed and well-organized parts (bags sealed and numbered like real LEGO ones) contribute to a frustration-free building experience, with no missing pieces reported. Although some building steps require careful attention (kids will want it, dads will build it), the end result is a stunning and functional GBC module. Overall, the Steampunk Marble Run offers a rewarding and immersive building journey, making it a worthwhile addition to any LEGO GBC enthusiast’s collection. I can only recommend to get your own copy and make some space on your desk or on your shelves for this beautiful and awesome GBC module!
