Get ready for some hypnotic moves. The Whack-a-Ball! LEGO Great Ball Contraption from KinBricks uses a simple stepper mechanism to lift your favorite basket and soccer balls onto a grid where a series of appearing and disappearing “moles” push them along all the way to the exit. This very fun module is customizable: Invent the ball path you want by easily changing the orientation of the 1×1 slope parts and by modifying the offset of the crankshafts. You can also play with the direction of the motor to change the way the balls move across the grid. It took to Israel Galan, alias KINBricks, a lot of time and effort to come up with the right approach to have so many pistons working this close together and not getting stuck. It was worth the effort as this LEGO GBC module is so coll to watch and so fun to reproduce thanks to free building instructions.
