Glockenspiel Automaton is a fantastic musical LEGO automaton from Daniele Benedettelli. This LEGO MOC features Ludwig van Beethoven playing the “Ode to Joy” song on a xylophone-like instrument called glockenspiel. The character is swinging on the keys and striking them with a hammer. On the contrary to what you may guess, this LEGO automaton is not powered by a robotic devices but is purely mechanical! It can be run via a simple crank on the side of the build. The complete movements from the build are steered by a chain of plates and tiles with different heights triggering the rotations of the character and the up and down movements of the hammer. A mind-blowing smart masterpiece!
